DR GERALD LEPPERT
Senior Research and Evaluation Consultant
Dr. Gerald Leppert is an Economist and Political Scientist (Ph.D.) with over 15 years of experience in research and evaluation, specialising in quantitative, mixed-methods, and impact assessments. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Cologne, focusing on social risk management strategies in low- and middle-income countries. His expertise spans social risk management, climate change adaptation, rural development, social policy, and public health.

He has led large-scale international research and evaluation projects, bringing expertise in impact assessments, systematic reviews, and evidence synthesis. Dr. Leppert has held senior roles at the German Institute for Development Evaluation (DEval), the University of Heidelberg, and the University of Cologne. He speaks German, English, and French, and his research interests include climate change adaptation, disaster risk management, and public health resilience.
