Monitoring & Evaluation Consultant

Anja is a Monitoring and Evaluations professional with 6+ years of experience in designing and implementing empirical field and desk research on development and humanitarian issues. She developed and managed research projects commissioned by international organisations and NGOs such as UNHCR, FAO, the World Bank, UNICEF, GIZ, Expertise France, the British Council and Search for Common Ground. Her geographical area of expertise is the Middle East, specifically Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq. Thematically, her work focusses on multi-sectoral needs assessments, livelihoods, agriculture, conflict, migration, and cash-based interventions. Her skills include mixed-methods research methodology design, qualitative and quantitative data collection tool development, field- and desk-based data collection, rigorous data analysis, report production, and dissemination of research findings to diverse audiences. She holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Modern History from the University of Zurich.
