ImpactLoop was founded in 2022 to bridge the gap between academic and applied socio-economic research, balancing academic rigour with practical, evidence-based solutions that inform policy and drive meaningful change in international development.

The name underlines our core mission; to ensure that the results of our research come full circle and are beneficial to all stakeholders involved. In particular, we seek to address a trend that concerns us: too often the very communities the international development world purports to support are left out of important reflections on those interventions’ impact.
